Orland police announce arrest in month-long child pornography investigation

After a month-long investigation, authorities have arrested an Orland man on child pornography charges.

ORLAND, Calif. – Police arrested an Orland man on child pornography charges.

On Tuesday, Sept. 15 around 8 a.m., the Orland Police Department with the assistance from the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office, Glenn County District Attorney’s Office, Glenn County Probation, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, and Folsom Police Department served a search warrant in the 400 block of Fifth Street.

Followed by the search, 31-year-old Cody Goeson, of Orland, was arrested for possession and distribution of over 600 images of child pornography and for providing harmful material to a minor, according to authorities.

Goeson was booked into the Glenn County Jail. Authorities said this arrest was the culmination of a month-long investigation by the Orland Police Department with assistance from the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce in Sacramento.
