1 person shot at Chico mobile home park; leads sought

Police in Chico are investigating a shooting that took place at a mobile home park early Tuesday morning.

CHICO, Calif. - Police in Chico are investigating a shooting that took place at a mobile home park early Tuesday morning.

Calls came in just after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, people said they heard shots fired and saw a vehicle speeding away at Mountain View Mobile Acres on 3156 Esplanade.

Officers arrived shortly and found enough evidence to suggest a shooting took place. Police say the shooting broke out near a home on space 244.

The gunfire hit a vehicle and the person living inside the home on space 244. Officers say that person is expected to be okay.

Neighbors tell Action News Now they do notice gang activity around the area where the shooting took place.
