Missing & "endangered" Happy Camp woman found

On Friday shortly after 1 p.m., Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office detectives were advised by the Santa Rosa Police Department that a Happy Camp woman reported missing by her family since Oct. 24, was found alive and in good health in their city.

UPDATE 5:08 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 - On Friday shortly after 1 p.m., Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office detectives were advised by the Santa Rosa Police Department that a Happy Camp woman reported missing by her family since Oct. 24, was found alive and in good health in their city.

24-year-old Courtney Culver was found with her companion, 26-year-old Terrance McCovey in her vehicle in a hotel parking lot, according to the Sheriff's office.

The vehicle was observed by an off-duty employee of the Eureka Police Department, who recognized the Ford Escape SUV. The employee reported his observations to the Santa Rosa Police Department who immediately arrived to the scene.

According to Courtney Culver, she was safe and was not being held against her will, according to detectives. Mr. McCovey was cited for an outstanding arrest warrant from Siskiyou County, according to detectives.

UPDATE 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8 - The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office is still searching for a missing Happy Camp woman. They coordinated effort between local and Humboldt County investigators, as of 10 a.m. Friday they have still not located 24-year-old Courtney Culver.

SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. - The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in locating a 24-year-old Happy Camp woman who was they say was last seen Oct. 24 around 10 a.m. and they believe to be endangered.

Officials say Courtney Irene Culver was last seen at the Mechanic's Bank in Happy Camp with her ex-boyfriend, Terrance McCovey.

The family says Culver was planning to go to Eureka and was due to return on Nov. 2. Officials say the last contact was made on Nov. 1.

Based on the information gained by the sheriff's office, they say there is a reason to believe Culver is endangered.

Culver and McCovey are believed to be driving a 2007 Ford Escape Hybrid SUV, with tinted windows. The vehicle is black or dark blue with a California license plate number of 8EPA770.

Sheriff Jon Lopey says investigators are working with the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office and Yreka Police Department. 

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center at (530) 841-2900.
