Manhunt underway for Orland bank robbery suspect

Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man they believe may have robbed the Redding Bank of Commerce branch in Orland on Tuesday.

Updated 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 6, 2019 - The Orland Police Department is actively searching for the suspect in the robbing of The Redding Bank of Commerce on Walker St. in Orland. The bank was robbed on March 26, 2019.

Orland Police served a search warrant on Saturday at a home in Willows with the help of the Glenn County Sheriff's Office. They said they were looking for 52-year-old Kenneth Stephen Meza because they believe he may be connected to the bank robbery.

Orland police said Meza is also wanted on a parole hold. This means he has been out on parole, but his parole officer has issued a warrant to have him brought in.

Orland police said Meza has not been seen since the robbery occurred on Tuesday. They believe Meza may be traveling in a white 2018 Toyota Tacoma with license plate number 58461M2.

Law enforcement officials are requesting the public's help on this case. Orland police are requesting that if you see Meza or the Toyota Tacoma, please call their dispatch number at (530) 934-6341.

UPDATE 8:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2019 - Orland police are still searching for a suspect they said robbed the Redding Bank of Commerce on Tuesday. 

Authorities released surveillance photos of the suspect. 

Orland police say the man walked in around 3 a.m. on Tuesday and handed the teller a note demanding money. No weapon was seen.

Orland police say the suspect was last seen running north on 4th Street.

UPDATE 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2019 - The Orland Police Department has released new information about the robbery suspect's description. 

Authorities said that the suspect is described as a 6-foot, Hispanic male adult wearing a grey sweatshirt and a dark grey ball cap. They said the suspect fled the scene of the bank is on the loose. 

His vehicle is described as a light brown 4-door Jeep Wrangler with either personalized license plates or the new dealer paper plate.
