WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Supreme Court Friday rejected a lawsuit backed by President Donald Trump to overturn Joe Biden’s election victory, ending a desperate attempt to get legal issues rejected by state and federal judges before the nation’s highest court.

Northern California Congressman Doug LaMalfa is among more than 100 House Republicans who signed an amicus brief Friday, backing a lawsuit filed by the State of Texas.

Action News Now Anchorman Alan Marsden spoke with LaMalfa in Washington, D.C. by phone Friday about that challenge. He asked the Congressman at what point he would accept the election results.

LaMalfa said that there is still time. He said a lot of people feel the election was stolen, so why not make sure their election questions are being answered.

LaMalfa also answered questions about the Pandemic Relief Bill and stopping the spread of coronavirus.

The first of two storms moved over northern California late last night and this morning, but our weather has quieted for now. More rain showers will fall Saturday, but heavier rain and snow with stronger wind arrives Sunday.
