North State school closures for Feb. 14

Various schools will remain closed on Thursday, Feb. 14, due to winter weather conditions.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - Various schools will remain closed on Thursday, Feb. 14, due to winter weather conditions.

The following schools and school districts will be closed on Thursday: 

  • Pacheco Union School District (including Prarie Elementary) 

  • Shasta County Office of Education (for all sites and programs including preschools, Shasta Independent Study Charter School, Excel Academy and after-school programs) 

  • Happy Valley Union School District

  • Enterprise Elementary School District (including Alta Mesa Elementary, Lassen View Elementary, Shasta Meadows, Rother Elementary, Parson Jr. High, Boulder Creek, Mistletoe, Redding Collegiate Academy, Pace Academy) 

  • Gateway Unified School District 

  • Anderson Union School District 

  • Oak Run Elementary School 

  • Redding STEM Academy 

  • Columbia Elementary School District (includes Columbia Elementary, Mountain View Middle School, Lion Cubs Preschool and CARE programs)

  • Mountain Union Elementary School District (includes Montgomery Creek Elementary, preschool and SHARE program) 

  • Redding Union Elementary School District 

  • Shasa Union Elementary School District 

  • Igo Ono School District 

  • Whitmore Union Elementary School District 

  • Grant Elementary School District 

  • North Cow Creek School District 
  • Cottonwood Creek
  • Black Butte Union Elementary School 
  • Castle Rock School District 
  • Bella Vista Elementary School District
  • Stoney Creek Joint Unified will be delayed until 10 A.M.
  • Simpson University
  • Pioneer Union Elementary School District
  • Manzanita Elementary School

A disturbance moved over northern California and the rest of the Pacific Northwest this afternoon. It brought more gusty wind like yesterday, and cooler air, but only isolated rain showers. It will be much quieter this weekend with a late summer warmup.
