A TROUGH OR AREA OF LOWER PRESSURE IS SWINGING SOME SHOWERS INTO OREGON AND WASHINGTON WITH THE TAIL END OF THE CLOUDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE RAIN DIPPING DOWN INTO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA TODAY.

MOST OF THOSE CLOUDS PASSED OVERHEAD OUR AREA THIS MORNING AND EVEN A FEW SPRINKLES FELL IN SOME ISOLATED LOCATIONS ESPECIALLY IN THE MOUNTAINS. BUT ALL THE CLOUDS HAVE PRETTY MUCH CLEARED OUT THIS AFTERNOON.

IN THE WAKE OF THAT, PLEASANT TEMPERATURES RIGHT NOW WITH CURRENT TEMPERATURES IN THE 70'S AND LOWER 80'S IN THE VALLEY AND MOSTLY IN THE 60'S IN THE MOUNTAINS, FEELING A LITTLE LIKE FALL OUT THERE.

THE WINDS HAVE PICKED UP QUITE A BIT THIS AFTERNOON. IN SOME LOCATIONS IT IS QUITE BREEZY, ESPECIALLY IN MOUNTINGS AND UP THE VALLEY AS WELL.

HUMIDITY IS LOW BUT NOT A SLOW AS IT HAS BEEN MUCH OF THE SUMMER, WITH READINGS IN THE TEENS, 20'S AND EVEN SOME 30% RANGE.

STILL THE CONTINUED COMBINATION OF LOW HUMIDITY DRY CONDITIONS, AND NOW GUSTY WINDS MEANS THAT TOMORROW AND STILL FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE WE ARE ONCE AGAIN IN THE RED ZONE AS FAR AS FIRE DANGER

HOW ABOUT YOUR SUNDAY AND NEXT WEEK? WELL, SIMILAR TO TODAY WITH MILD TEMPERATURES, NO RAIN IN SIGHT AND GETTING ONLY SLIGHTLY WARMER DURING THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.

HERE IS THE RAIN TO OUR NORTH. BUT AS WE LOOK AHEAD YOU CAN SEE THAT RAIN BARELY TOUCHES THE CALIFORNIA OREGON BORDER ONLY ALONG THE COAST AND STAYS NORTH OF MEDFORD OREGON INLAND. AND THAT IS ABOUT HOW FAR SOUTH IT WILL GET FOR US AND WELL ONLY SEE SOME PASSING CLOUDS OVERHEAD AT TIMES.

AS FAR AS TEMPERATURES THIS WEEK AHEAD, WELL, SUNDAY LOOKS MAYBE A DEGREE OR TWO WARMER THAT TODAY. MONDAY ABOUT THE SAME AND TUESDAY TEMPERATURES CREEP UP A FEW MORE DEGREES, BUT I DO WANT TO ADD TO THE FORECAST THERE IS NO HEAT WAVE ON THE HORIZON!

SO HERE IS YOUR FORECAST IN THE WESTERN MOUNTAINS SMOKY AND WARM FOR YOUR SUNDAY WITH HIGHS IN THE 60'S AND 70'S. EASTERN MOUNTAINS, WARM AND SMOKY AS WELL, YOUR HIGHS ALSO IN THE 60'S AND 70'S. HIGHER ELEVATIONS IN THE UPPER 70'S IN THE FOOTHILLS ALSO SMOKY AND WARM WITH YOUR HIGHS IN THE LOWER 80'S FOR THE VALLEY

NEXT WEEK STARTS OUT MILD AND WARMS UP A FEW DEGREES MID WEEK BEFORE COOLING OFF A LITTLE AS WE HEAD INTO NEXT WEEKEND!
