Orland, Calif. -- In the City of Orland, there is a custom-designed playground you won't want your kids to miss.

The City of Orland replaced and expanded the city's oldest park playground, Lely Park playground.

City officials had a ribbon cutting for the playground Thursday afternoon.

The playground is custom-designed for kids ages 2 to 12.

The playground features a three-story play structure with slides and monkey bars.

Kids lined up to try the zip line, a popular addition to the playground.

Recreation Commission Chairperson, Shannan Ovard, said he hopes this will even bring kids from neighboring communities.

"In this area here, there's going to be a basketball court, a community picnic area covered and a few other things too so this whole area is going to be quite a park by time we're finished for the City of Orland," said Ovard.

The playground cost $144,000 and was funded by park development impact fees.
