New trees planted on Concow Ridge for Camp Fire mitigation

Approximately two dozen volunteers planted trees on a ridge top in Concow on Saturday.

CONCOW, Calif. - Approximately two dozen volunteers planted trees on a ridge top in Concow on Saturday.

The group called One Tree Planted collaborated with the Butte County Resource Conservation District to replace trees burned in the Camp Fire.

The group started the morning attending a presentation on the placement of straw wattles.

After that the trees were planted. 1,800 trees were planted to replace trees burned during the Camp Fire.
