What’s better than a good bargain?
How about getting a great deal and helping out a local cause.
On Saturday morning, the Salvation Army had a grand opening for its surplus store in Chico.
This is the second store they've opened so far this year.
Major Dan Wilson of the Salvation Army said there is a much wider selection of products at this store and it's all for a great cause.
All the proceeds collected go towards the Adult Rehabilitation Program for the George Walker Center. Walker, a recovered drug addict himself, recently passed away.
He had some 40 years of recovery himself. He wanted people in the community to be able to get clean and sober.
The surplus store is selling items for as low as 99 cents and they're selling clothes by the pound at a $1.45.
