PARADISE, Calif. – Baseball players at Paradise Junior & Senior High School will soon have a new field to look forward to.
Landscapers started to work just after 7 a.m. on Tuesday. Crews installed new turf and sprinklers for the field.
During the Camp Fire, PG&E had to access the field but dead trees forced the field to be torn apart as a result.
Action News Now spoke to a landscaper, Craig Gurney who said this project is a great step to rebuilding.
“It’s great, I really appreciate when the kids come down to practice and they can see us out here,” Gurney said. “They’re so looking forward to getting out there. The new season starts in two weeks.”
Gurney said his crews will add a new infield and lights on Wednesday. The field is 39,000 square feet in size.
