GRIDLEY, Calif. - The rain did not stop hundreds of Camp Fire kids from receiving bikes in the 19th annual Butte County Sheriff's Bike Giveaway on Saturday.
Approximately 600 bikes, new and refurbished, were donated from many different organizations.
The Butte County Sheriff's Office partnered with the Butte County Office of Education, local bike shops and even celebrity chef Guy Fieri to bring bikes to kids impacted by the fire.
Sheriff Kory L. Honea said the kids have been through a lot, and donating the new bicycles was gratifying.
The kids also received and a bike lock and a helmet to ensure their safety.
