New Butte County Health Officer selected

Butte County Public Health announced Wednesday a new Health Officer.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. – Butte County Public Health (BCPH) shared Wednesday afternoon that after an extensive recruitment for the position of Health Officer, an employment offer has been made to Dr. Robert Bernstein, MD.

The Department will be recommending the appointment of Dr. Bernstein to the Butte County Board of Supervisors at the Aug. 11 Board of Supervisors meeting.

If appointed, Dr. Bernstein’s term will begin on Aug. 17.

Butte County Public Health Officer, Dr. Andy Miller, announced his resignation from the Department in May of 2020. Dr. Miller’s last day with the County was on July 10. Read More
