CHICO, Calif. - The Chico Outdoor Art Festival is scheduled for Sunday September 16th at The Palms, 2947 Nord Avenue.

Local Artist Christine MacShane is organizing the event, which will focus on Plein Air painting. That’s basically painting outdoors. It’s very popular with water colorists.

MacShane says it will be an opportunity for artists to share and network and even sell their work. Registration is open to artists of all skill levels.

Attendees will enjoy seeing the artists at work and have the opportunity to purchase their pieces. You can also vote for your favorite.

The Festival will include local arts & crafts vendors, live music and food trucks. Plein Air painting will take place from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m. and awards will be given to the winning artists between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m.

Pre-registration is required for artists by July 15th. The deadline for vendors is August 1st. Contact Christine MacShane at (530) 370-1285 or visit her website here. You can also visit Chico Outdoor Art Festival on Facebook.
