Redding NPU seized 6 ounces of heroin from a couple

A heroin bust of six ounces landed two people in Shasta County Jail.

REDDING, Calif. - A heroin bust landed two people in Shasta County Jail on Aug. 7.

Redding Police said Richard and Sarah Johnson were arrested after a search of a trailer on 3300 block of Santa Rosa Way.

The couple was arrested for possession of heroin sales and violation of probation. Sarah Johnson was booked on two felony warrants.

Officers confiscated six ounces of heroin and $1,000.

One gram of heroin is commonly sold for $100, meaning the heroin found in their possession has the street value of $15,000.
