Disabled big rig causes hour-long delays on NB I-5

The big rig has been moved, but traffic still remains at a standstill.

UPDATE 12:45 p.m. June 6, 2019 - The big rig has been moved, but traffic still remains at a standstill. 

Caltrans told our reporter at the scene that there will still be a 1-hour delay.

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - Northbound I-5 is blocked at the Pit River bridge due to a disabled big rig.

Caltrans said there is a tow truck en route. 

The road still has to be cleared. Crews are estimating delays of up to three hours.
