COTTONWOOD, Calif. – The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide in west Cottonwood.
The sheriff’s office said they found two people Tuesday morning with gunshot wounds. One of them 22-year-old Isaac Patino, of Redding, later died. Ciaara Robberson, of Redding, is expected to survive and is still being treated for her injuries from the shooting.
Investigators believe a marijuana growing operation is involved. Based on witnesses’ statements and evidence collected at the scene, deputies said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident. Deputies believe there is no risk to public safety at this time.
