CHICO, Calif. - A man is behind bars after Chico police say he broke into an adult day health care center late Thursday night.

Just after 10 p.m. Thursday, officers received a call about an alarm going off at the Peg Taylor Center on 124 Parmac Road.

Officers arrived at the center and noticed one of the window screens was off, that’s when officers contacted a facility representative.

While officers were on scene, the alarm kept receiving motion activations inside the building.

Alongside K-9 ‘Aron,’ an officer went inside and encountered 37-year-old Chad Mosier in possession of property from the adult daycare center, according to police.

Officers say Mosier was arrested without incident and nobody else was inside at the time of the burglary.

When the officer processed the scene, they noticed Mosier had opened up several drawers and moved items around.

Mosier has been charged with burglary and was booked into the Butte County Jail.
