Highway 70 remains closed due to mudslides and flooding

OROVILLE, Calif. - Update 10/24 at 1:13 p.m.: Caltrans says Highway 70 will remain closed from Jarbo Gap to the Greenville Wye. Caltrans is advising people to avoid the area as crews continue to work to clear the roadway.

The California Highway Patrol Oroville announced that Highway 70 at Deadwood Rd. is closed due to mudslides in the canyon. 

CHP Oroville said it expects an extended closure due to weather conditions in the area. There is no time estimate of when the road will reopen.
