MOUNT SHASTA, Calif. - The Mount Shasta Police Department is searching for two people suspected of breaking into a vehicle behind the Black Bear Diner Sunday night.
Police say they got a call of a burglary to a vehicle at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle's winders were smashed in, and a purse, credit cards and cash stolen. Police say the stolen credit card was used to purchase a large amount of alcohol from Layton's Liquors in the community of Weed. Some of the stolen property was recovered from the dumpster outside of Layton's. Police say the business was able to capture the suspects on surveillance cameras.
