LINDA, Calif. - A motorcyclist was killed on Sunday in a collision with a pick-up truck in Linda.
At around 2:50 p.m. on Monday, William Johnson, 58, of Olivehurst, was traveling westbound on his Harley Davidson street bike on Pasado Road approaching a stop sign at the intersection with Gledhill Road.
Carlos Cardenas, 30, of Olivehurst, was stopped at the limit line in a Ford F250 pick-up truck on southbound Gledhill Road at Pasado Road.
Cardenas started to make a left turn onto Pasado Road at the same time that Johnson failed to stop for the stop sign at this intersection.
The front of Johnson's motorcycle collided with the left rear of Cardenas' pick-up truck, causing Johnson to be ejected from the motorcycle.
He was transported to Rideout Emergency Room, and then Mercy San Juan where he later succumbed to his injuries.
It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision.
