REDDING, Calif. – A mobile home was destroyed by a fire Wednesday morning in Redding.

Around 2 a.m., the Redding Fire Department responded to a structure at 1151 Kenyon Drive. Firefighters who arrived first located the mobile home fully involved in flames. Due to limited fire hydrants in the area, crews brought in a 3,000-gallon water tender to help with water supply issues.

Firefighters contained the fire, in one hour, without any spread to other structures or vegetation. Crews remained on the scene for four hours to mop up.

At this time, the fire is currently under investigation.
