REDDING, Calif. - Firefighters extinguished a fire that destroyed a mobile home in Redding on Friday.

The fire broke out around 10 a.m. on Friday on Fig Tree Lane off of Airport Avenue.

Firefighters said the fire was caused by a malfunction in a mobile home and caused a fire from the inside.

In addition to the mobile home, the fire also destroyed a classic car and an outbuilding.

Authorities encourage people to check propane tanks and electrical issues inside those RVs and mobile homes during the summer.
