TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. - A vegetation fire was quickly stopped by CAL FIRE crews Saturday afternoon at one-half of an acre after the flames escaped from a nearby structure fire. It was called the Mission Fire.

At approximately 5:45 p.m. on Saturday a CAL FIRE spokesperson said that crews were responding to the report of a structure fire. The structure was burning approximately one mile from Interstate 5 on Old Mission Drive just north of Red Bluff.

Action News Now spoke to CAL FIRE again at 6:20 p.m. A spokesperson said the structure was fully involved, but that the crews were able to quickly contain the related vegetation fire.
