Missing woman found dead in Placer County

The Placer County Sheriff's Office says a missing woman was found dead on Thursday.

PLACER COUNTY, Calif.-

The Placer County Sheriff's Office says a missing woman was found dead on Thursday.

They say Kathryn "Lani" Jones was last seen Monday by a good Samaritan on Monday when her car crashed on Highway 28 near Garwood's. 

They say that while they were waiting for emergency personnel to arrive, Jones walked away from them. 

Search and Rescue volunteers found her body in the snow on Thursday 

Her family has been notified.
