Butte County Calif.—A north state family has been found safe after getting stuck in the snow overnight.

The Butte County Sheriff’s Office says a couple and their three kids were found in the High Lakes area near The Carr Mine after worried family members reported them missing.

The family’s car got stuck in the snow.

Search and rescue crews had to use snow mobiles to get to the family. Fortunately no one was injured.

The Sheriff’s Office wants to warn people to be aware of the deep snow in the mountain areas.
