Mill Creek has been upgraded to evacuation order

CAL FIRE says the area of Mill Creek is now in an evacuation order.

TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. - CAL FIRE said Mill Creek has been updated to an evacuation order.

People in the area are ordered to leave as the area is close to public access.

The order includes Zone B17, C17, D17 227 and 228. Click here to see those areas.

The area includes Highway 89 in the area of the south entrance into Lassen National Volcanic Park. 

CAL FIRE said mineral remains in a warning.

The Dixie Fire has burned 517,945 acres and is 31% contained as it threatens several communities.

It took a few hours, but the sun broke through the clouds over most of northern California Tuesday afternoon. The low clouds, fog and light rain showers return to the valley Wednesday, with snowy weather in the mountains.
