Memorial held for Redding brothers killed in Ethiopia Airlines crash

The community honored two brothers from Redding who were killed in a plane crash in Ethiopia Sunday.

REDDING, Calif. - The community honored two brothers from Redding who were killed in a plane crash in Ethiopia Sunday.

Brothers Bennet and Mel Riffel, from Redding, were two of the 157 people killed Sunday. They were on their way home from a trip to Australia.

The men graduated from Shasta High School in 2007 and 2010.

A memorial for the brothers will be held at Redding's Saint Joseph's Church at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday.
