McFarland Fire causes evacuation warnings in Trinity County

Evacuation warnings have been issued by the Trinity County Sheriff's Office.

TRINITY COUNTY, Calif. - An evacuation warning has been issued for residents of Wildwood and the south end of Deer Lick Springs Rd., the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office said.

The warning includes both sides of Highway 36 due to the McFarland Fire.

Deputies say, residents who are elderly, have medical issues, have small children, or livestock or pets should prepare to leave due to fire activity.

As of 8:50 a.m., the McFarland Fire is 100 acres but is spreading quickly, the U.S. Forest Service said.
