Police Identify Jon & Bon's Burglar Suspect

Police have identified a suspect who allegedly held employees at Jon & Bon's Yogurt Shoppe at gunpoint.

UPDATE 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2018 - Officers have identified the suspect as 20-year-old Jeromy Waybright. They located him in his car away from his residence. 

Upon taking him out of his vehicle, they discovered a handgun on the seat that they later discovered was stolen from a residential burglary in Chico. 

Waybright was arrested and taken to the Chico Police Department for booking. He was booked for armed robbery, being in possession of a stolen handgun and carrying a concealed firearm. He was transported to Butte County Jail.

CHICO, Calif. - Chico Police are now searching for a man who robbed yogurt shop Jon & Bon's, threatening employees at gunpoint.

This happened just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday night at the store on Mangrove Avenue.

Police on scene told Action News Now that they believe the robber is a man, but he was wearing a ski mask, so they have very little information about his identity at this time.

The business does have security cameras that likely captured the robbery.

None of the employees were harmed.
