BANGOR, Calif. - A Butte County man currently on probation for vehicular manslaughter is back in jail for another crash.
The California Highway Patrol arrested Rockey Burch Saturday. Officers say Burch crashed his truck; taking out a fence and some trees. It happened in Bangor.
The CHP arrested him for being under the influence of drugs after he failed a field sobriety test.
A jury convicted Burch earlier this year for a 2018 Palermo crash on Foothill Boulevard, in which he careened his truck into a pole and shrubs, hitting and killing Carlos Gonzalez who was landscaping at the time.
Burch appealed that conviction. He was he was on probation when Saturday's crash happened.
