REDDING, Calif.- Redding Police Officers arrested a man at an RV park on the 2600 block of Park Marina Dr. Friday, for threatening a 72-year-old realtor with a replica rifle.

Police got a call around 11:59 a.m. of a man later identified as Allan Crowell, 23 of Redding, who was brandishing a "sawed-off rifle" at a realtor who was serving Crowell with a notice to pay or vacate.

While arriving, officers found out that Crowell had threatened to shoot the realtor if he did not leave his property, according to Redding PD.

The victim went to the entrance of the RV park and awaited police, fearing his own safety.

Redding PD deployed an Armored Rescue Vehicle to the park entrance while attempting to take Crowell into custody.

Eventually, police made phone contact with Crowell and convinced him to surrender without further incident at the park's entrance.

The rifle was determined to be a pellet rifle and Crowell was booked into Shasta County Jail.

He was charged with criminal threats, brandishing a replica firearm and elder abuse.
