Man arrested for allegedly starting seven fires in Butte County

CAL FIRE Butte County said they arrested a man who ignited several fires in the Forbestown area Thursday.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - A man was arrested on seven counts of arson to wildland on Thursday night, CAL FIRE Butte County said.

Guy Dalrymple was arrested after he allegedly started seven fires in the area of Forbestown Road between midnight and 8 p.m. Thursday morning.

Firefighters were able to contain all of the fires with the largest fire being three acres.

He also faces charges for arson during a declared state of emergency and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dalrymple is being held in the Butte County Jail with a $790,000 bail.
