OROVILLE, Calif. - Oroville Police arrested a man for the arson of a vehicle that is registered to a 57-year-old missing woman. The man is in custody and is a person of interest in her disappearance.

Police said this started on June 6, at 8 p.m., when the Oroville Fire Department responded to a reported vehicle fire located near Pine Street and Robinson Street, in the City of Oroville.

Through an investigation conducted at the scene, with the assistance of Cal Fire personnel, it was determined that the fire was started with the use of an accelerant and an arson investigation ensued.
