Man Shot and Robbed at Gunpoint on Chico Streets

A man was shot while being robbed at gunpoint on W. 3rd Street and Hazel in Chico.

Chico, Calif. - A 21-year-old man was shot and robbed at gunpoint on July 30 while attempting to meet with a prospective buyer of his iWatch through a mobile app. 

On July 30 at around 11:34 p.m. the Chico Police Department responded to a report of a gunshot victim seeking medical treatment at a local hospital. 

The victim reported that he attempted to meet with the prospective buyer at the intersection of W. 3rd Street and Hazel Street in Chico. He was approached by an adult black male, short in stature, and robbed at gunpoint. 

During the robbery, the victim reported that the suspect shot him. 

He sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries to his hand and abdomen. 

The suspect fled the scene and was not apprehended.
