Two Arrested After Online Date in Chico Turns Into Robbery

NOW WITH VIDEO: Two people were arrested in Chico Saturday night after robbing a man with a knife in an apartment on W. 5th St.

CHICO, Calif. - A man was robbed at the Timber Creek Apartments in the 1200 block of W. 5th St. in Chico on Saturday night.

The man said he was at the apartment at approximately 8:36 p.m. to meet with a woman he had met on a dating app. He told officers that once was inside the apartment he was robbed at knifepoint.

Police said the victim described ta woman and man demanded his money.

He was able to escape, he told police, but did suffer a small cut to his neck.

Police investigating Saturday night and arrested two 21-year-olds for Robbery, Assault with Great Bodily Injury and other charges.

The two that were arrested are Madison Wilshire and Keoni Lewis.
