CHICO, Calif. - It's been five weeks since the stay-at-home order and many local restaurants in Chico are working to stay afloat by offering food to-go.
Josh Marks, owner of Bella's Sports Pub and Parkside Taphouse says, it's been tough but they appreciate the support they are getting from the community.
Both of the restaurants are still closed but they're offering curbside pick-up at both locations.
"I think people are responding well, we are very appreciative that we've had such a positive response," Marks said.
Marks says he’s had to lay off almost all of his employees during this coronavirus pandemic but kept a few to help.
Bella's manager, Rasheed McNeal, says "I've seen a lot of regulars coming by and ordering and they’ll recognize my voice or see my social media posts and they are happy to support."
The employees are taking extra steps to stay safe, they are wearing masks, gloves and practicing social-distancing.
Bella's Sports Pub offers food to-go everyday, from noon to 5 p.m.
