Coronavirus cases have been spiking but restaurants continue trying to cope in these uncertain times.
Many restaurants in the area continue to follow the proper saftey protocols including requiring employees to wear masks and to sanitize everything frequently, in addition to ensuring customers are safely distanced or dining outside.
I spoke with the owner of Gogi's Cafe who says he is at about 20 to 30% of capacity with only 3 to 4 tables inside for seating. He says however the pandemic has greatly affected his business.
"Its been devastating actually, affecting us 100%. The school is closed, the university is gone, all the faculty members are gone. Very slow in business. Nobody's coming in the town and all that. So, yeah, we've been impacted 100% basically," said Vinay Kunar, owner of Gogi's Cafe.
He says with coronavirus cases spiking, he is ready to shift to take-out only if it is ordered.
I also spoke with the manager at Mom's Restaurant who said indoor dining has been restricted there as well and that they also are following all of the proper health guidelines.
In these uncertain times, he says he is ready to follow whatever guidance officials release.
