CHICO, Calif. – Active military, veterans, and their immediate families had something to smile about.

Chico Dentist, Dr. Kevin Kremer took part in Freedom Day at Kremer Dental Care. It was the fifth year the office provided free dental care.

One employee, a navy veteran herself said she was happy to do her part.

"As a veteran myself, I was telling Jeff this earlier, it's very important to me and makes me really proud to be a part of an office that recognizes the importance of giving back. Reaches out to the veterans to come in for a free day of dental care. Everything is free and it's just one of the ways that we're giving back to the community,” said Erica Hulbert, Navy Veteran & Registered Dental Hygienist.

Appointments were made to account for social distancing and to limit the number of people indoor.

In 2019, Kremer Dental Care provided 62,000 of free dentistry to over 60 veterans and their families.

This year's number has not been tallied, but Dr. Kremer says they look forward to the event every year.
