ANDERSON, Calif. – The Zogg Fire in Shasta County is 100% contained, and now survivors have new resources for recovery and rebuilding.
The California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), has set up a local assistance center at the Shasta District Fair & Event Center in Fusaro Hall. Organizers said dozens have already come by seeking help.
Action News Now asked Shasta County representatives about how the assistance center can help survivors.
“You may need a driver's license, you may need a birth certificate, social security cards, those type of things, all of those agencies are in here to help. Also, local agencies, local disaster response agencies,” said Shasta County Public Information Officer, Tim Mapes.
The local assistance center will be open and offering help to survivors until Wednesday, Oct. 21. The center is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
