CHICO, Calif. - An organization called Little Red Hen opened its sixth retail store in Chico this week.
Proceeds from the store fund programs for adults with developmental disabilities.
The retail stores help to inspire, teach and build on skill levels for their staff.
"Our staff runs the place this is their opportunity to grow they help set the store up with merchandising with making suggestions about the product its nothing that's done at Little Red Hen is not touched by our employees that also may happen to have a developmental disability," the store manager said.
The items in the home decor store come from local artisans and items across the country.
The store manager says their staff takes pride in filling the store with local products and helping out the greater community.
Little Red Hen Home Decor is open seven days a week until 6 p.m. at 204 Main Street.
