ATLANTA - Death rates in the United States rose again last year, according to new data from the Centers for Disease Control.

Researchers said 2017 will likely mark the third straight year of decline in American life expectancy.

Death rates rose for Alzheimer’s disease, Diabetes, Flu and Pneumonia; numbers also show an increase in drug overdoses, suicides and gun-related deaths.

There has been little change in the death rate for the nation’s number one killer – heart disease.

The last two days saw quite a bit of rain in Northern California. Today we could see more but the showers look to be more isolated today than in previous days. Highs today are expected to reach the upper 50s to lower 60s.
