LASSEN VOLCANIC NATIONAL PARK, Calif. - This weekend lots of stargazers have gathered at Lassen Volcanic National Park. The annual Dark Sky Festival continues Sunday night. It is one of the biggest events at Lassen National Park.
Reporter Spencer Joseph provided these amazing photographs from his visit to Lassen Park on Saturday Night.
He said the Park is a hub this weekend for professional and amateur astronomers and photographers.
Park Ranger Michael Spingler said Saturn and Jupiter are in really good positions for viewing. He aslo said there are a lot of galaxies, nebulas and star clusters that people can see.
The two gathering spots for those wanting to see the Milky Way and more are at Manzanita Lake and the Bumpass Hell parking lot.
