CHICO, Calif. - The North Valley Community Foundation will be receiving a big boost from Jeopardy! after their MVP (most valuable philanthropist) Aaron Rodgers finished his guest host stint on the popular TV game show.
All contestant winnings from the two-week hosting period were matched by Jeopardy! as a contribution to the community foundation's "Aaron Rodgers Small-Business Covid-19 Fund."
The fund was started with a one million dollar donation from Aaron Rodgers, who grew up in the area. The fund has already supported grants to 80 Butte County restaurants and retail establishments that have been struggling during the pandemic. The Jeopardy! funds will help pay for a second round of grants.
The grand total of the North Valley Community Foundation's Jeopardy! winnings has been announced. The total is $236,725.
