CHICO, Calif. - Action News Now's Linda Watkins-Bennett sat down with Brian Ring, assistant chief administrative officer for Butte County, and Erik Gustafson, director of Chico Public Works, to discuss the Community Choice Aggregation Program (CCA)

The programs allow cities, counties and other qualifiying governmental entities to purchase and generate electricity for residents and businesses.

A feasability study done by CCA programs show that it could save customers an initial 2 percent on electric bills, totalling $4 million in regional savings.

Community members are invited to attend any of the four upcoming meetings to learn more about the potential CCA program and provide feedback.

Today was hot and tomorrow will be as well. But slightly below average temperatures move in as we see a dip in the jet stream.
