Inspire School of Arts & Sciences to host school-wide virtual gala on Jan. 9

In 2021, Inspire will be hosting its popular event once again, this time in the digital and socially distanced platform.

CHICO, Calif. – For the past 10 years Inspire School of Arts & Sciences has hosted an annual school-wide gala.

Typically, students and staff showcase their classwork, club involvement, talents, and extracurricular activities to the community. In 2021, Inspire will be hosting this event on a digital and socially distanced platform.

Jarrah Miles, the Director of Production Projects, joined Action News Now at Noon to share how this event will work. Miles said the 2021 Inspire gala will not only showcase students’ performance work, but they will invite community members to learn what it’s like to be an Inspire student.

The free event will include an all-virtual presentation on Saturday, January 9 at 7 p.m. via Inspire’s Facebook page and YouTube live Channel.

There will also be a socially-distance drive-through dinner and dessert from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Drive-through participants will enjoy a rotating demonstration of student work from classes, club presentations, and performances.

Finally, a virtual peer-to-peer session will be led by current Inspire students for new students and families who have questions about the Inspire experience. Powered by Inspire students, this event promises to bring our learning community together in a unique and new way.

Families and community members will have the ability to hear, see, and experience Inspire School of Arts & Sciences from the people who know it best.

This event is being produced by the Inspire Production Team to celebrate the school and raise funds for collaborative extracurricular events like Alice in Wonderland, Phantom of the Opera, and future events to showcase and celebrate our students. It was a bright and breezy Friday for northern California, however the wind has been much stronger over Modoc County where a High Wind Warning is in effect through this evening. Stronger wind and cooler air will define our weather Saturday.
