Illegal encampments picked up in Redding

13,820 pounds of trash and debris were picked up in Redding on Thursday.

REDDING, Calif. - The Redding Police Department picked up illegal encampments and dumping on the ACID Canel near Crown Motors, and the Churn Creek waterway under Hartnell Ave, according to Redding Police Department. 

Officers from the Redding Police Department Community Work Program along with inmates from the Shasta County Sheriff's Office Alternative Work Program participated in the clean-up on Thursday.

They were able to pick up 13,820 pounds of trash and debris in the surrounding areas.
