Humboldt Co. Sheriff Seeks Missing Blue Lake Woman

Authorities from Humboldt County are looking for a missing woman last seen in Eureka after coworkers say she didn’t appear at work on Monday.

EUREKA, Calif. - Authorities from Humboldt County are looking for a missing woman last seen in Eureka after coworkers say she didn’t appear at work on Monday.

According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), Janet Egan, 48, of Blue Lake, a city 16 miles northeast of Eureka, was last seen near a Starbucks located on Fifth Street in Eureka.

Egan is described as a Caucasian woman standing at 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs about 240 pounds with light brown hair and hazel eyes.

She also has a tattoo of a “pin up girl” on her left arm and a tattoo of a sun and moon on her right arm, according to HCSO.

Egan was last seen wearing a blue shirt and jeans and is possibly driving a 2003 silver Buick Rendezvous with a personalized license plate of “BOOKPR.”
