CHICO, Calif. - The Honey Run Covered Bridge Association will host its 55th Annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday.

The event will be between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the Covered Bridge Park.

Pancakes will be supplied by Captian Bob's Pancake wagon and cooked by cooks, servers and assistants of the Butte County Sheriff's Office.

Breakfast will be $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

"We will also have drawings of various things that partially relate to the covered bridge," said Walt Schafer of the Honeyrun Bridge Association.

There will be drawings for prizes as well as the Grand Prize drawing for a weekend lodging in Lake Tahoe.

The association is looking for volunteers to help on Sunday. If you would like to volunteer, message them on Facebook.

Last year, the event was canceled due to the pandemic restrictions and they will follow current COVID-19 restrictions.

The Centerville Museum and Schoolhouse will have their annual Fair on Sunday, just 5 miles up the road from the Covered Bridge Park.

"The fair will be on Sunday the 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.," said Claudia Land, with the Centerville Museum Curator. "We are going to have our usual music, we will have food. We are doing most of our venues outdoors this year to help keep everyone as safe as possible."

The welcome relief of showers will be with us this evening! They will continue to push through most places in the valley. Some places may not see some rain given their proximity to the mountains and the effects of a rain shadow
