As part of our hometown heroes’ congratulations and recognition are in order this morning for United States Air Force airman, Ian M. Shifflet.

The Oroville native has graduated from basic training in San Antonio and is now ready to tackle his military career.

A 2017 graduate of Las Plumas High School, Shifflet is the son of Shary and Jason Shifflet of Oroville.

Way to go airman Shifflet make us all proud!
